Labor Day on Norfork Lake marks the transition of summer fun to an awesome Ozark lake experience of quiet and uncrowded shorelines. If you've never experienced a late summer 3-4 day weekend or a week long vacation on a Houseboat during the month of September, you may have missed the best part of Norfork Lake!
There is usually plenty of warm water for a dip in the lake the first 3 or 4 weeks following Labor Day with daytime temperatures averaging 75 to 80 degrees. Don't count on seeing many other folks out there because it remains one of our best kept secrets among locals and the few that have discovered its attraction. Another awesome reason to come in the fall is you'll likely save enough money during our off-season to pay for your food and gas!
